Room Booking Comparison Dashboard
The current booking process is inflexible, only allowing you to book a specific room at a set time. While the live office shows availability for individual rooms, it doesn’t provide a comprehensive view.
Now with Kadence, you’ll see a calendar comparison feature allowing you to compare, and choose the most suitable rooms that meet your needs.

Room Booking Service Accounts
A number of multi-tenant customers have ‘non-standard’ directory setups making it impossible for their users in Kadence to book rooms.
With this new addition to Kadence, these users can quickly set up a Rooms Service account without having to rely on calendar access to underlying Microsoft or Google calendars.
For the first time, you will now be able to find, compare, and book rooms. Add catering to your room booking. Choose the amenities you need and see all of your room usage data inside Kadence.
Disable User Check-in/Only allow check-ins via Public API
Preventing users from checking in ‘manually’ over the web app or mobile apps, even when they’re not in the office, now it’s possible is frustrating. It skews your usage data, and it doesn’t contribute to a thriving office environment.
With this new improvement, you can disable manual check-ins by only allowing check-ins via your door access system, wifi setup, or any other method you have in place to ensure that users can only check in once they’re in the building.
Set up Kadence for longer in advance
Currently, you can only see your booking plan for the next 8 days, which can make it difficult to know your plans further in advance.
Now with this improvement, you can add more days to your schedule enabling you to see what’s coming up beyond 8 days, and plan further in advance so you’re teammates can stay in the loop.
Notify users of Starred Colleague ‘Follow’ Requests
This improvement notifies the user that someone wants to ‘star’ them so that they are aware and can approve or ignore it.
Priority Booking – allow ‘book on day’
This encompasses two changes;
- The ability to set 0 day(s) as an option (currently we are restricted to a minimum of 1 day).
- The ability to select a time of day to which the space becomes available for booking in 15-minute increments. (We currently only support midnight).
Add a ‘one-time booking’ to Booking Filter Types
This improvement adds a “1-Time booking” option to a booking type filter.
Add a ‘Team’ field to the Directory CSV download
Thid improvement adds a ‘Team’ field to the Directory CSV download.
Edit Space = Change the description for ‘Blocked’ spaces
The slight improvement involves rewording the description of the toggle on the edit space screen to disable bookings for that particular space.
Instant Messenger – Add the Floor name to the Starred Colleagues notifications
Add a “Floor” into the starred colleague notifications to match all of the ‘other’ notifications, letting users know ‘where’ in a building their colleague is, not just the building, neighborhood and space.
Maintain the filters on the bookings page
Before, after you selected your booking choices, and went through to the check-in screen, but scrolled back to make a change, the filters disappeared resulting in having to fill out your choices again. Now, Kadence keeps the same filters on the booking page selected, so if you have to go back to the bookings page after actioning a check-in, you don’t need to fill everything out again.
Show ‘Turn on’ modal for basic/advanced parking
This improvement prevents confusion by displaying a ‘turn on’ modal when any building has basic parking enabled or when global advanced parking is already turned on.
